Hello !

I am Imany, an author, illustrator from France. I studied landscape architecture in Marseille and Amsterdam, but in 2020, I switched careers to become a self-taught author and illustrator. I discovered the magical possibilities of Procreate and forged my own style by experimenting with digital colour and texture on my iPad.

I take inspiration from growing up between Europe and Africa in a multicultural family, but also from my other hobbies, including hiking, reading manga, watching K-Drama and playing all sorts of video games. My goal is to include minorities in less diverse cultures using my storytelling and illustration skills.

Now living in sunny Marseille with my husband and twins, I illustrate children's literature, NGO projects, and book covers. I also translate YA novels from English to French and write my own illustrated books, graphic novels, and young adult sci-fi and fantasy novels.
